Profhilo® is a special skin remodeling product that rejuvenates your face, leaving you with a soothing and dazzling glow. If your skin feels dull, dehydrated and lacks elasticity and volume then this is will be perfect for you. After the age of thirty our skin loses hyaluronic acid as well as elastin and collagen. This treatment stimulates the production of elastin and collagen, and allows a slow release of hyaluronic acid which will improve the wrinkles and fine lines.

Profhilo is a stabilizing product which remains in the skin for about 4 weeks . In this time it causes stimulation of four distinct kinds of elastin and collagen to occur, caused by the gradual release of Hyaluronic acid. ​ The stimulation leads to a significant improvement of tissue. We can not say therefore that Profhilo is a skin booster as its tightening / lifting effect is also significant on the tissue. ​ HA is released gradually after injection of Profhilo and biocompatible with body's own tissue. The action makes patients feel more comfortable both during and after the treatment, and it also provides hydrates for the skin, notably in the epidermis; this is also known as the Hydro effect.

In addition, Profhilo provides a reliable Hyaluronic acid architecture for the skin, and this provides an effect which is known as the volumetric effect or as the Lift effect. It improves skin texture in the dermis and epidermis, as well as skin moisture. The production of body HA and elastin also increases giving the skin a much younger look.

The most common areas for use of Profhilo® are the facial areas. But Profhilo may also be used with great effect for making the skin of the neck look younger, as well as on the arms, hands, knees and on the areas of the lower neck and upper chest seen when wearing low neckline clothing. The neck is, in fact, fast becoming an area in which patients are increasingly having Profhilo® treatment, due to the product’s proficiency in reducing sagginess and crepe-like skin, and encouraging an overall firmer and more youthful look.

For the best and most durable results it is recommended that patients have two treatment sessions with a four-week break in between. Some patients will notice results within the first week, although the more effective and prolonged results will probably be seen up to four weeks following the second session of treatment.

Each treatment session lasts around half an hour, and immediately afterwards you can readily go back to work. You may notice very small bumps or bruises which can develop at the specific injection location, but this should disappear completely within a day.

Profhilo® treatment is available while you carry on with your normal daily activities, whatever they are. But we do suggest that you avoid putting on makeup, apart from any mineral-based makeup. It is also recommend that you don’t visit the gym, sauna or other type of steam-room, and that you refrain from swimming during the day of treatment. Please also refrain from touching the site of the injection.
