How It Works
Lip fillers use hyaluronic acid (HA) — a substance naturally found in your skin — to add volume, definition, and hydration to the lips. HA is injected in small, precise amounts into different layers and areas of the lip depending on the desired outcome. Because HA naturally attracts and holds water, it integrates smoothly with the surrounding tissue for a soft, natural feel.
The results are not permanent. HA filler is gradually broken down by the body over 9–12 months, after which the lips return to their natural state. The treatment is also fully reversible using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which dissolves HA filler if ever needed.
